BOP Co-founder, Paul Owens, has been appointed Chair of the Place Shapers Steering Group at Experience UK, the trade body for the UK’s experience economy.
His appointment is a natural extension of our long-standing expertise helping places and destinations use culture and creativity to drive social and economic value, and our work sharing and connecting UK expertise with partners around the world.
With more than 30 years’ experience working with cities, governments, developers and cultural organisations internationally, Paul has long worked across culture, placemaking, tourism and economic development, building BOP’s capabilities and practice to support our clients to develop more distinctive places, destinations and experiences.
He joins three other steering groups: Experience Creators, Experience Economy Enablers and Experience Technology, reflecting the breadth of expertise and disciplines that make up the UK’s experience economy.
