BOP is delighted to announce Tim Fanning as our new Chief Economist.
Tim joins our leadership team to head our economics and impact work from our new Manchester office alongside Senior Consultant Lizzie Parker, a significant step in strengthening our presence in the city where BOP was founded, and in accelerating our work across the UK and beyond.
His appointment marks an important moment in the evolution of our research and evaluation practice. As we expand our work with cultural institutions and venues, universities, funders, and public bodies, Tim’s expertise will deepen the economic insight we bring to every client engagement.
“His expertise will sharpen our ability to support clients at pivotal moments, building compelling cases, securing investment, and shaping long-term growth.”
A development economist with over 20 years’ experience, Tim specialises in economic and social impact assessment. Using HM Treasury Green Book approaches, he has supported leading cultural institutions, universities, funders, and governments to evidence impact and unlock investment in the UK and internationally.
We are excited about the added depth, rigour, and ambition his expertise will bring to our work.
