The UK Global Screen Fund (UKGSF) supports UK screen businesses and producers to build international partnerships, grow exports and strengthen their global competitiveness

Following our evaluation of the Fund’s pilot year, BOP was commissioned to undertake a multi-year evaluation of its first three years of funding.

We assessed the Fund’s process, impact and economic value, combining analysis of monitoring and application data with beneficiary surveys, stakeholder interviews, interim and final reports, and cost-benefit analysis.

Our evaluation found evidence of increased international collaboration, business development and visibility for UK screen content. £46m of sales were attributed to UKGSF support, while the Fund generated a Benefit Cost Ratio of 1.7:1, with £22 of net benefit for every £1 of public funding.

We also identified opportunities to strengthen the Fund’s future design and delivery, including responding to high demand for funding, improving application processes and developing longer-term approaches to measuring impact.
