Emily Taplin
Emily Taplin is a mixed methods researcher currently supporting our place-based projects, working across evaluation, strategy and planning.

Emily's approach to research is grounded in systems-based thinking, and since joining BOP has gained extensive experience managing complex engagements.
Recent work includes benchmarking of global arts and heritage destinations for a major arts and culture development, research support into site and concept feasibility for Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, and research for evaluations of Green Man Festival, and Edinburgh PlaCE. Other clients include, London Legacy Development Corporation, Failte Ireland, and Creative Scotland.
Before joining BOP, Emily has worked in commercial roles across the private sector and in social impact roles in the not-for-profit sector.
She holds an MSc in Mental Health, Ethics and Law from King's College London, where she was awarded The Dickson Poon School of Law and The Tempany Prize for Ethics. She also holds a BA in Languages and Literature (French and Italian) from the University of Oxford.
