We carried out the British Council Cultural and Development ‘Golden Thread’ Global Evaluation.

This included the evaluation of fourteen projects around the globe funded as part of the ‘Golden Thread’ funding received by the British Council from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Each project focused on creating more open societies and fostering freedom of expression, primarily through cultural and creative activities.

We designed a bespoke evaluation toolkit for each project, aggregated into an overarching evaluation framework seeking to explore the impact of cultural participation on development outcomes at a global programme level.
