BOP Consulting and Technopolis are currently evaluating Immersive Arts, a £6m programme supporting artists and organisations across the UK to explore new creative uses of immersive technologies
Project Team
Immersive Arts is a three-year programme supporting UK-based artists and organisations to explore the creative potential of virtual, augmented and mixed reality. Through grants, training, mentoring, research and showcasing, it aims to build skills and confidence, support new creative work and strengthen collaboration across the UK’s immersive arts ecosystem.
BOP Consulting and Technopolis are evaluating the programme from its inception through to 2027, looking at both how it is delivered and the impact it creates. Our work combines programme data with participant and stakeholder research, case studies and wider sector analysis to understand what is changing for artists, organisations and the wider creative ecosystem.
Interim findings are feeding into decisions about programme delivery and future funding, while the longer-term evaluation will build a clearer picture of whether Immersive Arts is increasing adoption of immersive technologies, creating new opportunities for artists, strengthening the sector and contributing to the UK’s position in culture-focused XR.
