Bethany’s experience lies specifically in the implementation of mixed method approaches and understanding cultural activities’ social and cultural impact within a wide range of contexts. She works with clients to develop plans that are supported by grounded insights and a strong understanding of the sector. She is particularly interested in trends within heritage, the social/place impact of culture and the role of culture in supporting intercultural relations.
She has worked with clients in the UK and internationally, including the Middle East and North Africa. Projects have included evaluations of the German Foreign Office’s Kulturerhalt (cultural preservation) programme; the Great Place programme funded by Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund; and the Creative Europe programme for the European Commission, together with consultancy ICF. She has also carried out in-depth research informing the National Trust’s future support of urban heritage.
Bethany previously worked at UK-German Connection, a bilateral youth exchange organisation, and holds an MA in Cultural Policy and Management from the University of Warwick and a BA in European Studies from the University of Maastricht. She speaks fluent German.
Bethany is an experienced consultant, who has worked for a range of national and international clients over the past ten years. Her main focus is designing and implementing research and evaluation projects.
