Released earlier this week in anticipation of V&A Dundee's fifth birthday, the impact study showcases not only the museum's substantial economic impact since its opening in September 2018 but also its profound civic importance and reach.
The Numbers | Key Findings
Since 2018, V&A Dundee has:
Generated £304 million in economic impact for Scotland.
Contributed 1,685 jobs to Scotland, including 450 in Dundee.
Welcomed 1.7 million visitors, including 500,000 who came to Dundee for the first time to visit the museum.
With over 270,000 community and learning engagements, nearly 10,000 pupils, teachers, and educators engaged, and more than 2,000 learning and community events, it has been a pleasure to chronicle and analyse the impact of these first five years. We look forward to observing the progress of V&A Dundee as it enters its next five years and beyond.
