Sustainable cultural infrastructure development in China, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI)

Supporting sustainable approaches to museum and performing arts infrastructure

Our focus was on the role of advanced products and services in contributing to operational success and raising international competitiveness.

This included sharing commercial and operational best practice, increasing knowledge and understanding of working practices and market conditions in both countries, encouraging collaboration between Chinese and UK cultural organisations, and connecting Chinese and UK cultural sector private companies.

Our sector-focused report and best practice guidance set out challenges around sustainable development of museum and performing arts infrastructure in China, how UK products and services may facilitate more sustainable development, and how collaboration and business development may best be facilitated.

The work took place against the background of the UK China Year of Cultural Exchange 2015.
