London Creative Network is a development programme for artists and creative practitioners in London. The programme is delivered by SPACE, Cockpit Arts, Four Corners and Photofusion and it is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
We have been working with SPACE for the last 18 months to understand the impact of the programme. Our brief is to undertake a robust assessment of economic impact, as well as providing a clear view of the unique contribution the programme is making.
Our research includes a participant survey, focus groups, case studies, partner and stakeholder interviews as well as analysis of programme data. Through this, we are uncovering insights into how the programme influences business performance, innovation and the artistic aspiration of practitioners. We are also considering the value of the partnership and the strategic role the programme plays.
The findings of our evaluation were used in SPACE and partners’ successful application to extend the programme until Summer 2020. We see sector specific support programmes like LCN particularly important as the funding landscape is likely to change with Brexit.
The final report from our initial evaluation can be found here.
