Comparative study of online copyright enforcement policies, Intellectual Property Office

Our comparative study helps support improved enforcement of online copyright.

We researched and assessed the contrasting legal, regulatory and voluntary approaches that have emerged around the world to tackle the widespread phenomenon of online copyright infringement.

The study was based on detailed case studies of nine territories (the UK, the US, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Brazil and South Korea), highlighting their institutional and legal basis and their various costs and benefits.

The final report is online here.
