Marine’s expertise lies in organisational strategy and governance, business and financial management. Recent projects include an assessment of the financial and operational viability of a new arts centre in the South West; an appraisal of commercial activities and a review of capital business plan for Kettle’s Yard Gallery in Cambridge to support their ACE capital application (stage II); a review of Writers Centre Norwich’s business plan for their New Centre for Writing; an evaluation of the impact of Churches Conservation Trust’s new model of investment for historic places of worship; and the evaluation of Transform, a major four-year arts programme in Brazil for the British Council.
Prior to joining BOP in 2006, Marine worked in France and gathered nine years experience in the performing arts sector. As an arts administrator, she led the production of original creations, festivals, exhibitions and educational programmes for a portfolio of companies and worked at Ariane Mnouchkine’s renowned Theatre du Soleil in Paris. At Parc and Grande Halle de la Villette, a major multi-disciplinary venue in Paris, she held several positions including deputy head for the outreach department.
As a trustee, Marine has supported the work of arts and community outreach charities in France, Brazil and the UK. She was a trustee for the Friends of Arnold Circus, a charity which led the regeneration of the bandstand on London’s oldest council estate.
Marine holds a MA in Public Administration from the University of Montpellier and is a part-qualified management accountant.
