Iain is a creative industries, digital economy and cities consultant with 25 years’ senior management experience in private and public sectors. His work emphasises the leading role of creative industries and the digital economy in the renewal and growth of places, spaces and economies across the world.
Iain worked with Greater London Authority and the London College of Fashion to frame the strategy for a major new international fashion district in East London, and created a place narrative for London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park that brought together commercial, cultural, educational and government stakeholder perspectives into a single framework for investor and audience development. He developed the strategy for Liverpool UNESCO City of Music and was author of a creative enterprise strategy for Culture Mile, an initiative to brand and promote major cultural institutions in the City of London.
Iain holds an MA (Cantab) in English from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from London Metropolitan University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
