Alex is a producer, director, performer, researcher, tour manager and facilitator in the performing arts, with experience working in the UK, the US, France, China and Japan. He is based in Shanghai and London.
He holds a BA(Hons) in Classics from the University of Cambridge, an MA in Intercultural Communications and Chinese from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and trained at L’Ecole Internationale du Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and L’Ecole Internationale de Mime Corporel Dramatique in Paris. His past research projects include the impact of UNESCO’s policy of intangible cultural heritage on the development of contemporary kunqu in Shanghai.
He is currently project manager for Lumine, specialising in tour management and UK-China creative co-productions for immersive theatre, children’s theatre, musicals and physical theatre.
