Jobs & Internships

How we recruit

We recruit periodically to specific positions - keep an eye on the blog or Twitter for details. We do not accept speculative applications.

We are keen to encourage those who are interested in careers in consultancy.

We offer internship opportunities at our London office. Providing support and supervision, we ensure that our interns have a positive and inspiring experience, as well as developing professional skills and an understanding of our profession.

We offer three types of internship:

Placements for Further and Higher Education Students

We offer placements of six (FT) to 12 weeks (PT), which students undertake as part of a further or higher education course. This placement must be recognised by the university as a mandatory part of their degree course, where the student will receive course credits and the university typically provides an Internship Host Agreement.

Students from F&HE institutions in and outside the UK can apply; however, students from institutions outside the UK must be EU nationals.

If you would like to apply, please email our internship coordinator, Poppy Lawrence Carr, including:

  • Your CV (not more than two sides of A4)
  • A short covering letter, telling us why you are interested in a placement here and any relevant past experience that you would like to highlight (not more than one side of A4)

We are keen to encourage applications from any background.

We reimburse student placements with £10 per day to contribute towards lunch and daily commuting expenses.

Work placements for students of compulsory school age

Each year, we host two pupils through the Social Mobility Foundation’s (SMF) Aspiring Professionals Programme for one to two weeks.

Paid internships

We very occasionally offer paid internships of up to six months, as entry-level training positions.

Any paid internships will be advertised through BOP’s blog and Twitter accounts, free websites, arts job boards and relevant organisations, when opportunities arise.

Interns must be eligible to work in the UK and will be paid the Living Wage. Positions will be entry-level training positions.

We do not accept speculative applications for paid internships.

Given the current pandemic, please notice that our office is closed and all our internships will be conducted remotely.
