Research to Inform the London Media Legacy Programme for 2012

Research into anticipated skills needs and job opportunities in the broadcasting and media industries arising from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games in London. The study analyses the sectors and occupations most affected by the Olympics, together with technological and other drivers of change, and the nature of training and skills provision. It will inform the industry's strategies to address predicted skills shortages and diversify its workforce.

Audio-visual Skills Needs and Provision of Skills Supply in the North of England

June 2007

Research to produce a clear market-based assessment of the priorities for skills development in the AV sector in the three northern regions, based on mapping existing supply provision, analysis of recent Skillset surveys and detailed consultation the AV sector through industry panels and 1-to-1 interviews. The research will be used by Skillet and the Cross-Regional Industry Panel to plan Skillset’s own investment and to influence the plans and investments of key partners, mainly LSC, RDAs, HE/FE, RSAs.
